10 Foods to Prevent Osteoporosis

Changing your diet can be an effective, gentle, inexpensive - and even delicious - way to prevent, relieve or even reverse a wide variety of conditions. If you are at risk for or have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, consider adding these calcium-rich foods to your diet:

  1. Low-fat or non-fat dairy products
  2. Canned sardines and canned salmon
  3. Dark green vegetables such as broccoli, collard greens and bok choy

  5. Calcium-fortified juices and carrageenan free soy milk
  6. Black-eyed peas
  7. Blackstrap molasses

Not too long ago the news was filled with warnings about Fosamax, Alendronate etc. and people who had been taking them long term being at more risk of fractures. What is the latest on that? In your opinion Is it safe to keep taking these drugs?

UNFORTUNATELY, SOME PEOPLE LAY DOWN CALCIUM IN THEIR HEART. I RECENTLY HAD A 200 CALCIUM SCORE( CTSCAN) OF MY HEART. I THINK PEOPLE ARE BEING MISLEAD TO THINK CALCIUM IS SO SAFE.......COMMMENTS GREATLY APPRECIATED....ALSO FROM DR. WEIL....PLEASE???

ALSO, HOW CAN PEOPLE PRONE TO ARTHTITIS , BURSITIS ETC, ETC, ....KEEP CALCIUM FROM LAYING DOWN IN SOFT TISSUE??? WHAT NATURAL RECOMMENDATIONS CAN HELP?? THANK YOU SO MUCH? PLEASE REPLY..
