10 Comments | Dr. Weil has had several generations of Rhodesian Ridgebacks and thoroughly enjoyed every minute with these intelligent, affectionate dogs. Because they come from hot, dry South Africa, they are well adapted to living in arid southern Arizona.
Though sweet-natured, they are also fearless, and excellent at keeping the javelinas, raccoons and mountain lions a safe distance away from the home. Dr. Weil enjoys taking them on hikes to the nearby park and loves taking them to his summer home on Cortes Island, British Columbia.

You can't get a better companion than a loving, precious dog. Congratulations on your great "family," Dr. Weil.
Beautiful dog, Dr. Weil! I adopted a beagle last year and absolutely adore him.
Thank you so much for sharing photos of your gorgeous dogs! They're very regal and their faces are so emotive. They brought me a smile on a rainy workday. Cheers!

Adorable! I don't think we can even measure the health benefits of having a canine friend to love and to love us. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos!
Oh, they are just wonderful. I love dogs so much. We had a Yorkie that was our baby. We still miss him after 7 years. We have cats also that are so smart and great for Lowering blood pressure. Enjoy those beauties in wonderful Arizona. Warm Blessings

You should check out this new web-based animal reality show called Animal Movers. It is about a pet transportation company that moves animals all around the world. They move many different types of animals. The first episode was about moving Rhodesian Ridgebacks to Hawaii. It was very interesting and family friendly. You can find it at www.animalmovers.tv
