I know in the U.S.(most parts anyway) we are not very original when it comes to breakfast. The usual eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, muffins and so on. My favorite breakfast is fresh salmon with a side of warmed tomato and brown rice.
I love Irish Oats with ground flax meal and pure NY State Maple Syrup. I recently went gluten-free and I find now that the oats seem to be the only thing that gives me intense heartburn. I might have to give them up. Maybe I'll switch to hot quinoa with the flax and syrup.
I am always looking for healthy breakfasts that will not upset my suspected IBS symptoms. Tend to stick to banana and almond butter. Grains are out unfortunately. The smoked salmon looked wonderful!
